Escape the Corporate Job

Over the years of building our business, we have had the opportunity to interact with people of all ages. Most people really enjoy what they do for a living. A lot of them went through years of schooling for that job. But at whatever stage of the journey people are at, they come to realize that time and money are fundamental in life. They might question whether to pursue a career that requires more time to make more money or to find a job that does not require as much time but requires one to tighten their finances.

“The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered “Man! Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived.”

The Reason Why

Life passes by quickly when you have ample money but hardly any time. Weeks blend in together and months fly by. You catch yourself saying, “Where did the summer go?” Your kids seem to grow up too fast and your age is something you start to keep a secret. Sure, you can afford a nicer lifestyle, but you don’t have any time to enjoy it. Your highlight of the year is the vacation you take with your family so you can escape it all. Dramatic, but that’s the way we felt.

The opposite situation is equally unenjoyable, ample time but hardly any money. You’ve maybe been a poor student just out of high school and going into post-secondary. Or maybe you’re in between jobs and living off of the little savings you have. Either way, having little money to spend can be tough. Grocery store visits are carefully calculated and vehicle maintenance gets pushed down the list. You even get nervous when family visits, hoping the bill will be picked up by Dad.

These are the reasons we decided to create an ongoing income outside of our careers. It wasn’t because we wanted to ‘stick it to the man’ or even drive around in a Lamborghini, although that would be nice. It’s because we wanted to spend more time with our kids, we wanted to be present in our marriage, we wanted to grow as people daily and we wanted to do it all without sacrificing time or money.

Build an Asset

To escape the corporate job, you need to create a different type of income. One that doesn’t rely on your skillset or trading time for money. You need income produced from assets. Assets that produce cash flow every month whether you show up or not. To us, that’s freedom.

We help people create extra time and money in their life so they can find their version of freedom. It takes a lot of hard work but it sure is worth it. Try it and find out.
