Become Your Best Self

Nine years ago we started our business. As soon as we started, we launched ourselves onto a journey of personal growth.

Our families wondered why we didn’t watch as much TV or why we spent our weekends and evenings going to conferences. Once we knew there was a way to become better versions of ourselves, it didn’t feel right to spend an entire evening watching Netflix or playing video games. Better versions were to be confident instead of shy, and productive instead of lazy. The life we dreamed of was achievable now. Committed to growing personally, we could become the leaders we believe God designed us to be.

Growing personally started with reading books on success and personal growth. We listened to audios from people who had the results we desired. We learned that if there was something we didn’t like about ourselves, we had to change! We are content, but not satisfied with our results. Therefore we are and will always be looking for ways to improve.

“ Growth is optional. The greatest day in your life and mine is when we take total responsibility for our attitudes. That’s the day we truly grow up. A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them, and strong enough to correct them.”

Every day we read, every day we listen to an audio, every day we meet someone new.

To truly grow personally, we knew that just reading books and listening to audios was not going to unlock our full potential. We had to apply what we were learning. That is why every day we have a mission to meet someone new. Engaging in conversation with new and old friends has helped us grow exponentially.

Personal growth is a result of our habits. Our habits will either make us or break us. So choose your habits wisely. We don’t look for perfection from ourselves when we implement new habits. We look for growth.

I am your constant companion.

I am your greatest helper or heaviest burden.
I will push you onward or drag you down to failure.
I am completely at your command.

Half of the things you do you might as well turn over to me
and I will do them quickly and correctly.

I am easily managed, you must be firm with me.
Show me exactly how you want something done
and after a few lessons, I will do it automatically.

I am the servant of great people,
and alas, of all failures as well.
Those who are great, I have made great.
Those who are failures, I have made failures.

I am not a machine though I work with the precision of a machine
plus the intelligence of a person.

You may run me for profit or run me for ruin
it makes no difference to me.

Take me, train me, be firm with me,
and I will place the world at your feet.

Be easy with me and I will destroy you.

Who am I?

I am Habit.
